Plastisol Ink Screen Printing

Plastisol inks are the standard when it comes to t-shirt printing. The results achieved from plastisol are reliable and consistent. High detail, bright colours, long-lasting and the ability to colour match make it the ideal choice for t-shirt printing.

From the simplest one-colour image to the most detailed, photo-realistic imaging, plastisol is the clear winner.

Plastisol prints well on all fabrics. Polyester, cotton, and tri-blends, all look great with plastisol ink. White and light colours garments can be printed with light ink deposits for low-feel prints. Dark colour garments get under printed with a white, then the colours go on top for bright crisp colours.

We can print plastisol inks on almost every item we stock on our website. No hats of course, but any t-shirt, hoodie, sweatshirt and even some jackets.

Pantone’s Matching? Yes.

Pantone matching is easy with plastisol inks. How it looks before we print it is generally how it looks after we print it. This is why we love plastisol. It’s uncomplicated.

One Colour or Ten.

Plastisol blends nicely with itself during the printing process. Squeegees push the ink onto the shirt one colour at a time. We can either dry the colour right after we print it to preserve its opacity or print another colour on it while it’s wet to make blends and fades.

Minimum 12 Pieces

Since we can reuse plastisol simply by scooping it out of the press and putting it back in the bucket, there is little to no ink waste. This helps us lower the minimum print run to 12.

With Screen Printing – Cost is Related to Amount of Colours Printed

With screen printing, the more colours you print on your t-shirt or sweatshirt, the more each piece will cost you. Each colour we print requires its own film, its own screen and its own time for set up. As you can see, the more complex the design, the more the cost.

Keeping it simple is usually the best idea. Simple art is usually more eye-catching. A t-shirt is a billboard that you see from a distance. Too much going on is just distracting. The best designs know how to focus your attention on the main idea and do it in a very simple and effective way.
