Puff Embroidery
Make your embroidery stand out with puff embroidery. We can stitch your images in a puff style on anything you would normally embroidery. Hats are the most popular option, but we have stitched puff onto jackets and sweatshirts, and even t-shirts.
Puff embroidery has a layer of foam underneath the stitching that raises the threads in a three-dimensional effect. The puff foam can be placed under the whole design or just one part of the design.

Puff Embroidery – Things to Remember
Large areas only- 3 to 1 rule
We can’t puff small details and tiny lines. The rule of thumb is that the puff area can be 1/3 the height of the width. So if you want an element of your design to be 1 millimeter high, then it needs to be 3 millimeters wide.
Flat Stitch Underneath or Beside
You can stitch flat embroidery under or beside your puff. This adds a great layering effect to your finished product.
You can’t add elements of design on top of the puff. Adding more stitching on top of the foam areas will only collapse the puff.

We have hundreds of thread colours. If you want to tell us a pantone colour your hoping to match, we can match it as close as possible with our existing thread colours.
