This sweat pant is the youth version of the #18200.  The cut and the fabric are the same and it has no pockets but there is one thing  different… it has no draw string.  Only an elastic. The reason for this is safety. Gildan doesn’t want your kids to play with strings. Strings can kill. Personally, I would think getting your pants whipped down in the playground by the bully kid who realized you had no drawstring would feel worse than death as an eight year old, and this trauma would be completely preventable with a draw string, but the world forces safety on you now. No drawstring for your children. Get therapy later.

These pants are made specifically for decorating. So printing is easily done as is embroidery.  They are 50% polyester, so shrinkage isn’t too much of a problem. They shrink up, but a very minimal amount. I would be more concerned about your kids growing than these pants shrinking, so order a size up for that reason.
