Customizing this ATC hoodie is sure to be a success! It is a heavyweight fleece, and the hood is lined with t-shirt material for extra comfort. This hoodie has a cotton content that is higher than most hoodies which has it’s advantages and disadvantages. Advantages: softer, more textured feel to the fabric. Also, it screen prints beautifully with bright colours. Disadvantages: Cotton shrinks more than polyester, and the heavier the garment is, the more it will shrink with cotton. 75% cotton is about as high as you will see in a sweatshirt or shrinkage would be too much. So expect this sweatshirt to shrink more than average and consider ordering a size up, or washing only in cold water and hang to dry. Best Printing Methods
Any print method will be a success on this garment. Regular plastisol inks will pop with vibrant colours. Reduced plastisol will give a great vintage feel and absorb nicely into the cotton.
Embroidery works well on this hoodie too, but don’t go too large because
shrinkage of the hoodie can cause puckering of the image. We suggest no bigger than 4 inches in either direction. Smaller if you can.
Applique is a great option too. Twill or felt letters stitched on to this hoodie looks great and washes well and you don’t have to worry about shrinkage of the hoodie and puckering on large design areas that are done with applique.
