Carhartt is a superior brand with a reputation for durability, and style. The brand is recognized as one of the most desirable for work wear. This hoodie is a blend of cotton and polyester which allows for both print-ability and reduces shrinkage. The Carhartt logo is placed on the left front pocket for brand identification. The hoodie is a mid weight sweatshirt. It has stylish copper grommets around the drawstring eyelets and the drawstring itself is thick and substantial. Seams are double stitched and in some cases triple stitched for durability. The fabric is smooth and has a nice amount of stretch to it.
Best Printing Methods
The fabric on this Carhartt sweatshirt is extremely smooth and so it prints very nicely without getting fibers in the ink.
Screen Printing Plastisol Inks: This is a great option for bright colours and opaque whites
Screen Printing Reduced Inks: Also a great option. Inks will be muted in colour and pushed into the fabric so that you can’t feel the ink. Whites will not be white though, they will take on some of the colour of the fabric.
Discharge Inks: Not recommended for this product.
Embroidery works well on this hoodie too, and dye migration isn’t an issue with embroidery. So if you fancy embroidery, it’s sure to be a success.
Applique, which is stitched on twill or felt fabric is also a great option.
