Best Decorating Methods
Standard Plastisol Screen Printing is a great option for this hoodie. Plastisol will make bright colours and
opaque whites. The high cotton content means we can print thinner inks and still get very opaque colours and bright whites. Also, do to the high cotton content discharge inks, (which are a bleaching chemical reaction method of printing is an option.) However, keep in mind that do the nature of discharge inks, colour matching can never be exact, and colours are never super bright.
Reduced plastisol vintage prints are a great option too. The ink is pressed in and muted, and there is no feel to this kind of print.
Embroidery is another great option and always works well on a hoodie. We suggest small areas to be the best on hoodies. Like left chest or sleeve. Large areas of embroidery on a hoodie can get wavy after the hoodie is washed. We can try and stop this by using a heavy backing, but it leaves the hoodie cardboard like in the area of embroidery. If you want to embroider a large area, we suggest you use a hoodie with a higher polyester content. Shrinkage is a problem with embroidered images as it causes the image to pucker and wave. A sweatshirt with a higher polyester content will shrink less.
If you want a large embroidered area on this hoodie, we suggest you try applique, which is sewn on felt or twill typically seen as letters for colleges on sweatshirts. Embroidery and applique can be mixed for great results.
