We print so many of these shirts. The combination of an amazing price and a reliable , durable t-shirt make this a great pick for
almost any print. The Gildan 5000 is a very similar t-shirt to the Gildan 2000. The difference is a lighter fabric. On a dark coloured shirt, the difference in weight is not very noticeable, but on a white shirt the 5000 is a bit see through.
The cotton on the Gildan 5000 is smooth and prints well. It is however, not a super soft cotton tee such as the Gildan Softstyle 64000 is. It is a standard feel cotton shirt.
Best Printing Methods
All of our printing methods work well on this t-shirt. Standard plastisol will print bright and opaque on all of the colours available in the Gildan 5000. Discharge inks will print well on most colours. (royal blue can be unpredictable).
Embroidery is also a great option. We suggest keeping your embroidery areas small on a t-shirt to prevent puckering and waving of your image after washing. Stick to left chest or small areas on the sleeve.
